Rate my what???

WARNING: THIS POST IS NOT APPROPRIATE TO THOSE WHO ARE UNDER 18 OR EASILY OFFENDED.

During a drunken conversation at the bar Friday night, a group of us were talking about what sites we could come up with kinda like HOT or NOT. We thought how crazy would it be for there to be a site where one could go and rate photos of, well, the white stuff that guys produce when excited... turns out it already exists.

A quick Google search turns up ratemycumshot.org. And it is exactly what you think it is. Photos are posted, rated and commented on. What the hell has society come to? What is going to shock generations to come? I don't know how things can get any more shocking than they are now in this (early) Internet age (and for the record, this isn't the most shocking thing I've seen on the net).

And what's with the .org? Are they a registered non profit? Should I donate money? These good folks didn't stop there. They also have "brother sites"— ratemydick.org, ratemybum.org and ratemycouples.com. And no, I'm not trying to promote these sites, I just think it's kind of funny that someone spent time to put together these sites and even has paying sponsors.

Parallax

Matt:
This is the 4th time I've eaten at Parallax and every time the food is awesome. I've always ordered the grilled chicken with pome frites. The service this time was a bit on the poor side. Every other time it has been great, but the waitress this time was a bit bitchy. The Pear 75 martini was good but not amazing like the first time I had it. The decor is clean and modern (but what's up with the vases filled with golf balls??). Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. 4.5 out of 5 stars from me!

When I Grow Up - Pussycat Dolls

The pussy cat dolls, such a role model for little girls (and little aspiring drag queens) everywhere.

[Chorus]
When I grow up
I wanna be famous
I wanna be a star
I wanna be in movies

When I grow up
I wanna see the world
Drive nice cars
I wanna have boobies

When I grow up
Be on TV
People know me
Be on magazines

When I grow up
Fresh and clean
Number one chick when I step out on the scene

Gay men, straight women share brain detail

Ok, so even more SCIENTIFIC evidence that homosexuality is NOT a choice but rather biological. This on the day when gay couples are starting to merry in California (yay!). I think this pretty much speaks for itself but my only concern about this is those who will take this and say that all gay men are feminine because of this.

PS: The acronym, which is their logo,  for "Proceedings of the Natural Academy of Sciences" is PNAS... hehe, irony?

A night of Kathy on Bravo

So how much do I love Kathy Griffin? I'm so extatic "my life on the d-
list" is starting its new season. And to kick it off we got double
Kathy tonight with her hosting their new "A-list Awards" show. Here
are some highlight (not direct) quotes from the night.

"I'm up against Planet Earth, one of Oprah's favorite things...planet
earth which Oprah owns, operates and controls... "I'm gona start a
show called Uranus which us going to be about your ass hole."

"all the celebrities duct tape their tits to make them higher"

"...like cinder-fuckin-rella"

And of course, "suck it Jesus"

The whole thing was a hot tranny mess. Bravo, Bravo.

So you think you can dance: Comfort

So after that last dry, serious post it's time for something light.

Im watching one of our guilty pleasure shows, So you think you can
dance, and I already love this girl Comfort. First of all what an
awesome name. Granted it sounds a bit like a stripper name but who
cares. "I'm dancing in a bra, panties and beads," she says in regards
to her outfit, and well, yeah, she pretty much did. This girl has
great personality and I think she is going to be a favorite on the show.

Who knows, maybe next week, pasties.

Cleveland Housing Market Woes

I don't intend for this to be a typical type of post to this blog, but it is something that is on my mind and an important warning to those out there who are house hunting...

This is a warning to those thinking about taking advantage of this "buyer's market." While it is a great time to buy—rates are still fairly low (but rising) and prices are low and sellers are willing to do just about anything to sell—be prepared to jump through hoops to actually get those keys.

At the end of January my partner and I entered into a contract on a new, under construction condo. Months later we have had to get out of the contract because the builder NEVER STARTED construction and was unresponsive. Now, we have found another place that we absolutely love, but it may be unavailable because another local builder is having problems. We're still trying to find out the details and hope everything works out. We may even buy the unit incomplete, as is, and higher our own contractor to finish it out.

Advice—buy something completed if you want to get in right away. If you are looking at something new that isn't ready to move in, be prepared to wait and be on the phone every day pestering the developer to complete your home.

First post!

Since I've had this domain for years and nothing really has come of it, I've decided to turn it into a blog. I'm not sure exactly what will come of this, but who knows. I plan to write about personal experiences in the city of Cleveland, pop culture, politics and whatever happens to be on my mind at the time.

Well, hate to already start off cutting it short. But it's time for dinner. More to come...
